Dear Larry, Barb, Mary and Tom, I would have loved to see you all yesterday but I'm recovering from heart surgery. Nonetheless ,I really must share an important memory with you about your mom and "Doc." In the 5th grade, Pat Moser and I would walk from Holy Family, home to lunch, which my mom faithfully prepared for us. Then we would run back to Holy Family and play before classes resumed. One day we came home and my mom was passed out on the floor under the kitchen table. I had no idea what to do. Pat suggested we call your mom. She came by, sent us to her house to be fed a ham sandwich by Doc and we returned to school. That was the first of several TIA's that my mom suffered before she had a stroke some 20 years later. Though I knew and admired Larry the best, each of you offspring turned out well and that speaks volumes about your parents. God's blessings throughout this difficult time. Al Rennert
