Ernestine White's Obituary
Decatur-Ernestine White, 96, of Decatur, departed this life on Tuesday, November 12, 2013.
Ernestine was born January 23, 1917 in Jonesville, Arkansas the daughter of Grandville and Inez (Austin) Newble. She received her education in Brownsville, Tennessee. In 1939, Ernestine moved to Chicago. She was previously employed at both Kraft Foods and Johnson & Johnson. Upon retirement, Ernestine relocated to Decatur.
Ernestine leaves to cherish her passing memory a niece Betty Evans of Decatur, five nieces and two nephews of Brownsville, Tennessee, three nieces of Toledo, Ohio, great-niece Gail Evans (Darrell) Wade of Henderson, Nevada, nephews Steven Moore and Elmer (Karol) Moore of Decatur, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews, cousins, and special friends Pat (Tina) Joyner of Decatur, Illinois, Janie Lewis of Memphis, Tennessee, and Willow Bagley of Chicago, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, three brothers, a nephew, and a great-nephew.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at McKinley Court Care Center.
Honoring Ernestine’s wishes cremation services will be provided by Graceland/Fairlawn Crematory. No services are planned at this time.
