Ethel Mae Nicholson's Obituary
Harristown-Ethel Mae Nicholson, 71, of Harristown, passed away at 11 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services to celebrate Ethel's life will be 10a.m. Friday, September 17, 2010 at New Beginnings Church of God, 2606 Rt. 121, with Pastor Mark Smith officiating.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the church.
Interment with 'Flight Home' Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Beginnings Church of God.

Ethel was born December 14, 1938 in Norris City, Illinois, the daughter of Francis and Ethel (Beare) Satterfield. She was previously employed as a bookkeeper with Nicholson Disposal. She was a member of New Beginnings Church of God. She married Alvin Nicholson March 31, 1991 in Decatur.
She leaves behind her husband Alvin, sons; Mike Hoskins and wife Patricia and Bobby Fawcett all of Decatur, daughters; Carolyn Hadley and husband Eric of Salsbury, NC, Brenda Grotjan of Farmersville, TX, and Deana Batson and husband Jeff of Oreana, sister; Marilyn Tidwell of Norris City, IL, ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
She was greeted in Heaven by her parents, brother; Don Satterfield, and Son; Herman 'JR' Hoskins.
