Decatur-Eula Reed, 80, of Decatur passed away 6:32 pm Monday, October 12, 2009 at Heartland of Decatur.
Services to celebrate Eula’s life will be held 10:00 am Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Walker officiating. Visitation will be from 6 – 8:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home. Interment concluding with the “Flight Home” ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to your charity of choice. Eula was born on April 21, 1929 in Hoopeston, Illinois the daughter of George H. and Nannie (Musson) Justice. She married Robert D. Reed on October 12, 1946 in Decatur, Illinois. Robert preceded her in death on May 7, 1984. Eula was an employee for St. Mary’s Hospital for several years until her retirement. Eula was a past member of the Eastern Star.
Eula leaves behind her loving companion John Younger of Decatur, four sons; Ronald Reed of Decatur, Randall (wife – Glenda) Reed of Chesapeake, VA, Rodney (wife – Leesa K.) Reed of Decatur, Gary (wife – Wanda) Younger of Decatur; one daughter Peggy (husband – Tom) Girdler of Argenta, IL; twelve grandchildren Stephanie Mertig, Robert Reed, Ryan (Laurie) Reed, Melissa (Aaron) Snyder, Rebecca (Jon) Dowdell, Rhonda (Tony) Weiner, Justin, Calon, Bailey, Tara, Cody, Seth; and six great-grand children Hailey, Jenna, Amelia, Tura, Alexandra Davina
Eula will be reunited in Heaven with her husband Robert, her parents, one brother and two sisters.
