Eunice E. Huckaba's Obituary
Decatur-Eunice E. Huckaba, 94, of Decatur, passed away 8:30 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Helia Healthcare in Champaign with her family by her side.
Services to celebrate Eunice's life will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Grace United Methodist Church, 901 N. Main, with Pastor Danny Cox officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Eunice was born July 5, 1915 in Toledo, Illinois, the daughter of James Alfred and Essie May (Brown) Tinsman. She was previously employed as the manager of Carl's Shoe Store. She was a very active member of Grace United Methodist Church she worked in the Economy Shop, managed the kitchen for church functions, and her Circle prepared many meals. She was named the Methodist Volunteer of the Year. She also volunteered at Decatur Memorial Hospital and she and Ross delivered meals on wheels for many years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, embroidery, quilting, and reading. She was famous for her chocolate cakes. She married James 'Ross' Huckaba July 15, 1934 in Kansas, Illinois. He preceded her in death June 21, 2004.
She leaves behind her daughters; Janice Wollerman of Ramsey, Sandra Henson of Decatur, and Sharon Murray and husband Donald of Champaign, thirteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, seventeen great-great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law; Beverly Huckaba of Columbia, Missouri, and brother; Clifford Tinsman and wife Ruth of Urbana.
She was reunited in heaven with her parents, husband, son; James, son-in-law Ed Wollerman, two brothers, three sisters, 1great-grandson, and three great-great-grandchildren.
