Eva Schwab's Obituary
Eva (Finley) Schwab, 52, of Ramsey, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, after a courageous battle with terminal cancer.
She was born on September 20, 1972, in Vandalia, Illinois, to Sharon Leona Smith.
After spending much of her life away, Eva returned to central Illinois in July 2025, where she was able to reconnect with her family and children during her final months. These moments brought her and her loved ones much comfort and healing.
She is survived by her two children, Tristan Strand of WA, and Emily Grundei of Effingham, IL; her siblings, Kelly Finley of Madison, FL, Rick (Shelli) Finley of Hillsboro, IL, Jeff Finley (Lisa Collins) of Decatur, IL and Beth (Bibi) Maldonado of Edgewood, NM; as well as many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Smith Robinson, brother, Michael Finley, and sister, Tricia Finley.
Per her wishes, Eva will be cremated.
