Everett "Pokey" Logue Jr.'s Obituary
LOGUE
DECATUR- Everett J. “Pokey” Logue, Jr. passed away at 12:29 am Saturday, January 10, 2026, in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Private family services will be held at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. The family will hold a celebration of life in the future for family and friends. Details will be announced as they become available. Memorials are suggested to the ALS foundation in honor of his son-in-law or to the donor’s choice.
Pokey was born on October 15, 1937, in Decatur, IL, a son of Jack Everett and Vera (Craft) Logue, Sr. He owned and operated Logue trucking for over 70 years, working until last year retiring at age 87. Pokey loved to play golf and was a member of the Central Illinois Senior Golf Association. Pokey even had three hole in one’s at Scovill Golf Course. Pokey married Susan Pleasant on February 22, 1957. They celebrate almost 69 years of marriage.
Surviving are his loving wife Susan, son- Todd Logue of Knoxville, TN, daughters- Terri Hill of Mt. Zion, Tia Logan and her husband Bruce of Decatur, and Tricia Blackburn and her husband Tim of Illiopolis, grandchildren- Jessica, Meghan, Colae, Suzette, Garrick, Grayson, Zara and Zaden as well as two great granddaughters- Everett and Arden.
Pokey was greeted in Heaven by his parents, in-laws Emerson “Fat” and Eulice Pleasant, brother- Rusty, two sisters- Sharon Cotton and Beverly Brisch and his son-in-law- Denny Hill.
