Faye "Lori" Lorraine Copas' Obituary
Faye “Lori” Lorraine Copas, 65, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at St. John’s Medical Center in Springfield, surrounded by her family.
Lori was born March 15, 1951 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Donald Fay and Dora Mae (Ashbey) Paddock. She married Samuel J. Copas on August 16, 1974 in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Lori loved to bowl, crochet, crafts and spending time with her son and grandchildren. Lori loved children. She and Sam had several foster children as well as a day care in their home.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Samuel; one son, William (Lori) Paddock of Decatur; three grandchildren, Brittany (Brandon Crawford) Paddock, Amber (John Douglas) Paddock and Rodney (Lauren Barton) Paddock; five great-grandchildren, Kiera, William, Dominik, Kamryn and Kolton; three brothers, Gale (Debbie) Paddock of Vancouver, WA, Dale Paddock and Allen Paddock both of Kalamazoo, MI.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Lori Copas will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2016 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday before the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Kidney Foundation.
