Florence Mary Leckrone's Obituary
Florence Mary Leckrone, 88, of Decatur IL, passed away Saturday, September 21st at Lincolnshire Place Memory Care. Florence was born on November 4, 1935, in Hessville IN, the daughter of Walter P. Hartman and Gladys (Wooding).
She worked as a home maker and for 16 years as the accountant and office manager at Illinois Concrete Cutting and Coring with her husband and son. She was a member and a volunteer at Westminster Presbyterian Church for over 40 years. She was in bell choir and Logo’s at the Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was a Lifetime member of the Decatur Quilt Guild. She enjoyed camping, traveling across country and was a campground host at some of the state parks in Indiana. She also was a miniature doll house enthusiast. She enjoyed reading mystery novels, gardening and sewing to include needle point and embroidery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Betty, Grace, Gloria and brother Walter and her husband Donald after nearly 60 years of marriage, She is survived by her son Scott (Tess) of Decatur IL, daughter Donna of Dayton OH, son Dale (Trina) of South Bend IN. and grandsons Joshua and Jarod of South Bend, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home is providing cremation services for Florence. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 11am Friday, October 11, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Inurnment in the Star of Hope Mausoleum in Graceland Cemetery will take place after the service. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.gracelandfairlawn.com.
