Decatur-Frances Jeanette Ditty, 83, of Decatur passed away 9:35 pm Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services to celebrate Frances’ life will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Kent officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services from 9:00 am – 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment with the “Flight Home” ceremonies will be in Graceland Cemetery. Frances was born on November 28, 1926 in Decatur the daughter of William and Eva (Taylor) Benner. She married Max E. Ditty on February 5, 1949 and he preceded her in death on November 22, 1985. Frances was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother which devoted her life and all of her love to her family.
Frances is survived by her children; Steven E. Ditty of Decatur, IL; William W. Ditty (Brenda – deceased) (Carmen Kitchens) of Decatur, IL; LaAnda J. (David) Deaton of Long Creek, IL; Patricia A. (Todd) Jackson of Mt. Zion, IL; her beloved grandchildren William W. (Mandi) Ditty II, Derrick L. Deaton, Chad D. Jackson, Lauren N. Jackson; great-grandchildren TY and Tinley Ditty with many nieces, nephews and cousins which loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers; Lyle and John Benner; two sisters Wilma Jean Headricks and Patsy Waters;and a daughter-in-law Brenda Ditty.
