Frances L. 'Francie' Burrous, 63, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, January 01, 2013 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services to celebrate Francie's life will be 11 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2013 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Chaplain Kristina Horn officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services. Family requests casual attire. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Francie was born February 18, 1949 in Decatur, the daughter of John and Betty (Waltz) Jackson. She was a member of VFW Post #99 Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan and enjoyed reading and bird watching. She married Eugene Burrous on September 26, 1987 in Decatur, IL.
She leaves behind her husband Eugene, son Alan (Chrystal) Moore of Decatur, daughter Marci (Frank) Hollgarth of Decatur, step-sons Ronnie (Candy) Burrous of WA and Scott (Kristy) Burrous of GA, step-daughters Sherri (Tom) Grimes of Mt. Zion and Tammy Bryant of Decatur, brothers Bobby (Phyllis) Jackson of FL and Jackie (Deanna) Jackson of MO, sister Jeannie (Vic) Fleetwood of MO, brother-in-law Lonnie Strode of MO, several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and was reunited in Heaven with her recently departed sister Mary Kay Strode and grandson Matthew Hollgarth.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff of 4100 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
