Frances Lucille "Lucy" Armstrong's Obituary
Frances Lucille “Lucy” Armstrong, 86, of Mt. Zion, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 in Eastview Terrace in Sullivan, IL.
Lucy was born on June 15, 1930 in Tuscola, IL the daughter of Vernon G. and Anna Frances (Dippel) Wishard. She worked for G.E. and retired from Borg Warner. She was the former co-owner of Plaster Patch. She was a member of Cruisin Roster’s, AFL/CIO Union, and the wife of a Vietnam Veteran. In her younger years was a ballroom dancing instructor and was on bowling leagues. She married J.D. Armstrong in 1972. He preceded her in death on August 31, 2011.
Surviving are her step-sons, Allen, John, and Kent; step-daughter, Cheryl; two step-brothers, one step-sister, six step-grandchildren, and five step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband.
Graveside service to celebrate Lucy’s life will be 11:30 AM Thursday, November 10, 2016 in Graceland Cemetery and conclude with the “Flight Home” ceremony. Visitation will be 10-11 AM Thursday in Graceland /Fairlawn Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Boystown.
