My big sister,
From across the oceans and across the seas
Without any hugs because of disease
It doesn’t stop me from being with you
In my head and in my heart, just so clear and just so true
As our dad always said
‘Whilst you are remembered, you’re never really dead’
Well your family and friends will never forget
And they’ll always remember the times that we met
For those who knew the girl from ‘The Haugh’
Who leaves feeling so numb and so raw
Just think and reminisce
Of all the good times with my big Sis’
At the Kelvin Hall, on the Waltzers and Twisters
Then singing with Mags as the Shafton Sisters !
Your favourite today as it was then-
It could only be……. ‘Together Again’
You welcomed me to Long Beach, Philly and a visit to Orlando
Charleston, Newport, Decatur and Chicago
You travelled far and you travelled a lot
But your family back home… you never forgot
And through these tears I see your face
Singing at our house in Shafton Place,
With Mum, Dad, Jim and Gary
‘Together Again’ what a party !
You’re now at peace with the ones you love
In a far better place, way above
A place with no hurt, and no more pain
A place where you’ll stay til we meet again
Always love you,
Always miss you and
Will always remember you
Your wee brother Billy xxx
Frances, or Zazz as I called her, was a lovely, vibrant woman who was the light of my brother's life. Her passing leaves a void in her family's life. Deepest sympathies to my nephews, Scott and Marcus.
