Fred Albert Householder's Obituary
Fairbury-Fred Albert Householder, 90, of Fairbury, formerly of Decatur, passed away at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2012 in Fairview Haven in Fairbury.
No services are planned. Per Fred's wishes his cremains will be buried at sea by the U.S. Navy.
Fred was born November 26, 1921, in Fairbury, the son of John L. and Flora M. (Lindenbaum) Householder. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during W.W. II and the Korean War. He graduated from Millikin University. He retired from Illinois Power as an Electric Power Supervisor. He married Helen I. Lyda December 10, 1945 in Maryland. She preceded him in death in 1988.
He leaves behind his sons Fred C. of Urbana, Ronald L. of Decatur, and James D. (Holly) of Chandler Arizona, and grandchildren Kelsey and Kendall Householder.
He was reunited in Heaven with his parents, wife, brother John and sister Norma S. Brown.
