Freddie Lee Beasley's Obituary
Freddie Lee Beasley, 71, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 8:02 a.m. on Tuesday (02-13-2024) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Fred was born on May 24, 1952, in Brownsville, TN, the son of Mattie Lee Beasley. He worked as a molder at Decatur Foundry and liked to go fishing, watch wrestling and watch western movies. Fred mostly loved hanging around his kids and grandkids.
He is survived by his children: Odysseus Thomas of Decatur, IL, and Melinda Claypool of Milwaukee, WI; two brothers: Ivory Beasley, Jackson, TN and Michael Turner of Decatur, IL; four sisters: Lucille Poor of Decatur, IL; Luberta Wilder of Jackson, TN; Norma Comage of Decatur, IL; and Charlie M. Deberry of Decatur, IL; thirteen grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday (03-19-2024) at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home with visitation from 10:30 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
