Frederick Henemeyer's Obituary
Decatur- Frederick N. Henemeyer, “Mr. Fix It”, 89, of Decatur, passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 in St. Mary’s Hospital.
Frederick was born on December 1, 1926, in Hillsboro, IL the son of Ira Carl and Gladys Marie (Gates) Henemeyer. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Stephen Decatur Masonic Lodge #979 A.F. & A.M. He worked at A.E. Staley’s and later retired with over thirty-five years of service. He enjoyed racing micro midgets, gardening, woodworking, antique cars, avid Cardinal fan, and a Green Bay Packer fan. He married Maryrose Yeaw on July 3, 1949 in Decatur. She preceded him in death on March 8, 2001.
Surviving are his daughters, Brenda (Mike) Bunch of Decatur, Connie Henry of Warrensburg, Rhonda (Jerry) Wells of Lexington, IL; brother, Leland (June) Henemeyer, Cape Coral, FL; grandchildren, Russell (Roxanne) F. Owens, Courtney (David Carter) Jacobs, Dustin (Melanie) Henry, Ryan (Julie-Anne) Henry, Stacy Wells, Trenton (Candace) Wells, great-grandchildren, Branden, Brenton, Katelynn, Jackson, Madelynn, Dillan, Peyton, Ava, Rylie, Gavin, Raven “Bird Butt”; and one great-great grandchild, Paisley “Parsley” .
Visitation to celebrate Frederick’s life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2016 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, and conclude with Masonic Rites. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, and conclude with military honors conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials are suggested to Carle Cancer Research or St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
