I hope this memory makes it back to Garry's family. When we were children we lived across the street from each other on Wallace Street in Indianapolis. Garry was best friends with my brother, Jay Wilson. Jay passed away in 2008. I hope he and Garry are continuing their friendship in Heaven. Vic and Dortha and our parents were good friends and Garry was my first "boyfriend". He was probably seven and I would have been five. I have many happy memories from our childhood.

Decatur has lost a wonderful citizen. I knew Garry as a legal adversary, a coach, and a few times late in our careers, assisted Garry in representing his clients. I was never around Garry when he wasn't a gentleman. His story about concentrating on his civil practice and leaving his criminal practice behind always makes me smile. I know he will truly be missed by many, but most of all by his family. May they find comfort knowing that Garry is now in a good place, no suffering. May God bless Linda and her family.

Gary was a great guy. One of a few adults who understood me as a kid. Great soccer coach and tactician. Mrs. Davis was a saint and a wonderful person, too. They were a very generous family. I have a lot of fond memories as a kid at the Davis household and winning many soccer championships with Gary as our coach. R.I.P Gary. May God bless your entire family.

Used Garry through the Long Creek Fire Protection District Garry was our go to guy for many many years. He was a wealth of knowledge. We will greatly miss this man!

My first court case as a young lawyer in private practice involved Garry. He was suing my client, a roofer. We spent the morning in hearing, and I was quite impressed with his demeanor and his skill. It turns out that I wasn't doing as badly as I thought. Garry apparently said at lunch break that what he thought would be an easy romp against an inexperienced beginner had become a lot more challenging than he expected. Never fear, Garry won.
Garry was what I think of as an "old school" lawyer here in Decatur. Unfailingly polite, soft-spoken, even handed and prepared. I enjoyed knowing him very much, and I am very sorry for his loss.
