Gary Lee Allen's Obituary
Gary Lee Allen 64, of Decatur, passed away February 18, 2016, in his home.
He was born September 12, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN to James Clarence and Laverne (Gribbons) Allen. Gary was a salesman for Northern Engraving and a lifelong entrepreneur, opening local businesses such as the Crystal Ship Imports in his teenage years and Porters on Merchant in his later years.
He is survived by his father, James Allen; three sons, Evan, Nathan and Gary “Troy” Allen; a daughter, Arabi (Richard) Hall; four grandchildren, Draegen, Stasia, Jamie and Audrey Allen; a brother, James Michael Allen; and a sister, Pamela Newberg.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Laverne (Gribbons) Hiland.
Services to celebrate the life of Gary Lee Allen will be held at a later date.
