Gary William Renfro's Obituary
Decatur-Gary William Renfro, 67, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Gary was born November 9, 1946 in Decatur, the son of Walter and Mona (Goken) Renfro. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He retired from Autozone. He enjoyed classic cars and spending time with his grandchildren.
He leaves behind his children Shawn Renfro and wife Sharon of Decatur, Brandi Walker and husband Charles of Decatur, Amanda Dillon of Stafford, Virginia, Rick Renfro of Dutton, Alabama, and Randy Renfro of Dutton, Alabama, brother Don Renfro of Decatur, sister Darlene German and husband Doug of Decatur, and grandchildren Gage, Kaitlyn, Jasmine, Emily, Molly, Lillian, Jadyn, Christopher, Kyra, and Hana.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jimmy Renfro.
Graveside service with military honors conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2014 at South Macon Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project.
