Gene A Telfer's Obituary
Gene A. Telfer, 85, of Decatur, IL passed away March 25, 2024 at his residence.
Gene was born May 29, 1938 in Lee, IN, the son of Bernard and Helen (Danford) Telfer. He married Shirley Ann Fair on August 28, 1954 in Clinton, IL.
Gene had worked as a warehouse supervisor for R.V. Evans Co. He enjoyed camping and fishing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandsons.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley of Decatur, IL; children, Terry Telfer of Mililani, HI, Trenda Rowland of Decatur, IL; siblings, Mary Scroggins of Decatur, IL, Marcia Weber (Dan) of Mt. Zion, IL; grandchildren, Blake Rowland (Carissa) of Decatur, IL, Brock Rowland (Veronika) of Decatur, IL, Blaze Rowland (Rylee) of Decatur, great grandchildren, Valerian and Forrest.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tonya Telfer; siblings, Bernard, Robert, Midge and Bonnie.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Monday April 1, 2024 at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.
