Dearest Mary,I hope that you remember me, I'm Kristin, Teena Myers' daughter. Some of my earliest memories are of my Mother and your husband, George playing violin together in my Mother's dining room (where they would have their lesson). I also hold the memory of him playing at my wedding at my Mom's home in June 2002. I had the privilege of meeting George almost every time I went back to visit my sister. He was a true gentleman from a by gone era. A true ambassador for the violin and the World of music. Dear Mary, I am so sorry I will not be able to attend the memoral service. I'm not feeling well enough to get out. Crying all day hasn't helped–I so want to be there. George was a wonderful person. I am proud to have had him as a teacher and friend. His smile and hard candies will be missed. I loved his jokes–especially when he thought he was being a little ornery. Know that I am with you in spirit and that I love you both.

Dear Mary & Family,I want to express my deep sadness at the loss of our beloved George. He was one of the finest people I will every know. Kindess was the mantra that George expressed each day. I've known George for at least 29 years and he always had positive things to say to me. He loved his family deeply and still referred to his son as his "baby boy" and his wife Mary and puppy Megy as "his 2 girls". Mary and George combined two families and everyone came out ahead of the game. George gave me a violin lesson every Tuesday atl:00 pm pretty much for the last 29 years. I didn't know Mr. Nagy personally, but I recall hearing him and his wife Mary play their violins at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. I told my husband "that must be what the music in Heaven sounds like – it's the most beautiful music I've ever heard." That statement still stands; I have never and don't expect to ever hear music that beautiful again. What an artist! My condolences to his family at this sad time.

Mary and Family:We remember well the times you and George spent training Tim on the violin – he still uses that instrument in the Harper Symphony Orchestra and at his church, Harvest of Crystal Lake. Tim enjoyed the years he performed as a student in theMillikin-Decatur Symphony Orchestra also, thanks to George encouraging and helping out with opportunity to do so.We know George will be missed by many, but his legacy lives on.Peter and Darlene Walberg

It was with sorrow that I read of George's passing.I had cello lessons from 1968 -1974.I shall always have fond memories of that time. Those lessons helped me develop better music skills. I since had a lot of singing experience. A singing tour in Europe.I am now singing in a mens choir based in Savoy Il. The Singing Men of GNN. In my home church also. I think often of how the music lesson from George and his mother helped in the the Lord's work. I am now near 80 years old.I have 2 daughters and a grandson and a grandaughter.
