Georgia A. Jacobs' Obituary
Decatur – Georgia A. Jacobs, 71, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Georgia was born November 12, 1946, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Lon and Marie (Williams) Ernest. Georgia married Dwight Jacobs on July 3, 1965, in Decatur, IL. They spent 52 wonderful years together. A member of Life Foursquare Church, Georgia retired from the accounting department at DMH.
Mom loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she dearly adored. She enjoyed camping, lunches with her girlfriends, and giving to others.
Georgia is survived by her husband, Dwight; daughter, Sherry (Kraig) Bird; son, Michael Jacobs; grandchildren, Taylor, Tucker and Trent Bird, all of Decatur; sister-in-law, Joyce Manley of North Carolina and sister, Carol (Mark) Kreke of Decatur. Many cousins, nieces, nephews and special great- grand baby Bella.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nancy Walsh.
Georgia was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother with a heart of gold.
You were the rock and light for us, your words of wisdom, love and praise will always be instilled in us.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 10, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2018, at Life Foursquare Church. Burial will follow in Macon County Memorial Park, Decatur. Memorials may be made to Life Foursquare Church, Kidney Foundation at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
