Gerald L. Brennan, Jr.'s Obituary
Decatur-Gerald L. “Jerry” Brennan, Jr. 56, of Decatur, passed away at 8:27 pm Sunday, February 1, 2009 at Decatur Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.
Memorial visitation to celebrate Jerry’s life will be from 6-8 pm Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to be used for grandchildren’s education. Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with these arrangements.
Jerry was born September 15, 1952 in Decatur the son of Wendell and Mildred (Culp) Gandy. He worked at Thornton Welding Service Inc. as a welder and supervisor. He enjoyed NASCAR, flea markets, antiquing, road trips, and his Daytona Poker Parties. He married Sally Runyen January 27, 1973 in Decatur.
He leaves behind his wife of thirty-six years Sally of Decatur, parents Wendell and Mildred Gandy of Decatur, son Joseph L. Brennan of Decatur, daughters Wendy L. Brennan and Leslie L. Brennan both of Decatur, brothers Ted Gandy and wife Debbie and Bill Gandy both of Decatur, sisters Theresa Stephan and husband Norm and Sharon Hudson and husband Mike both of Decatur, grandchildren Brittany, Trent, Brialynn, Katie, and Dominic all of Decatur, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Blanche Chepan and Gerald Brennan Sr.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Jason and Angie in ICU at Decatur Memorial Hospital for all of their compassionate and loving care.
