Gerald Gene Logan's Obituary
Gerald Gene Logan, 78, of Harristown, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017, in his home.
Gerald was born July 30, 1938, in Decatur, to John Rura and Gladys Marie (Long) Logan. He married Abbie Rae Eagleton on July 28, 1962. She passed away December 18, 2010. Gerald was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church. He retired after 40 years of dedicated service in the garbage disposal service. He loved animals, avid Illini basketball fan, collecting tractors and going for coffee with his twin brother and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Andrea (Steve) Schoenrock of Joliet; two grandchildren, Bradley Schoenrock and Sarah Schoenrock; three brothers, Derald (Doris) Logan of Decatur, Dewayne Logan of Decatur and Tom (Jan) Logan of Little Rock, AR; two sisters, Mary Ragan of Decatur and Darlene Logan of Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Abbie; one infant son, Ronald Lee Logan; five brothers, Charles, Bob, Louie, Jim and Donald Logan; four sisters, Josephine, Betty Meyerholz and two in infancy.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Gerald Logan will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2017, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Sharon United Methodist Church 4363 W Center St, Decatur, IL 62522.
