Gerald Delano Wilson's Obituary
Gerald Delano Wilson, 78, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Generations at McKinley Court.
Gerry was born March 7, 1940, in Donnelson, IL, to Harry Woodman and Lydia Albertina (Bishop) Wilson. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1961. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #8 and a Teamster.
He is survived by his two children, Angel (Sharon) Wilson, Decatur and Troy Wilson of Decatur; five grandchildren, Ashley, Camdyn, Donovan, Nick and Jaime; seven great-grandchildren; and his sister, Nelma Roach of Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and seven sisters.
The family would like to give special thanks to his caretaker, Larry Cook.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow with full military honors provided by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials may be directed to Macon County Youth Advocate Program 202 E Eldorado St, Decatur, IL 62523.
