Gladys was my step-mom at one time (I don't like the wording step-mom) I considered her a 'Mommy' to me during the time I spent with her. I CHERISHED her and have SO many treasured memories spent with her. She was a loving CHRISTIAN lady and so FUN to be around. To know her was a blessing in my life. Through Facebook and Cindy nee Heil Hunter I was able to contact Gladys and speak with her on the phone. She never failed to send me a Birthday Card, nor a Christmas Card. I MISS HER, however someday I too will be reunited with her and other family members and friends up in heaven.

To the Heil family: I remember when we were growing up on North Sunnyside Road, or â??A Streetâ? as we knew it, if mom didnâ??t have enough eggs or that cup of milk needed to make a certain dish she would send one of us kids to a neighbors house to borrow whatever it was she needed. If I was the lucky one that day I would go to Mrs. Heil because I knew she was going to be nice and would more than likely have what mom wanted. We had such a nice little neighborhood there on A Street and Gladys Heil was a beautiful piece to that little puzzle. She will be missed I am sure but I will always have fond memories of her and all the other puzzle pieces that made up our great childhood. Sincerely, Joe Hammel

Sister Gladys was a faithful part of Gospel Chapel for 50 years, and was our friend. We are sad to lose her, but she has a crown of life waiting for her, and not only her, but all of us who choose to follow the same path she did, and that was the steps of the Lord. Only He is the Way, the Truth, the Life…the path to salvation. No one cometh to the Father except by Him…the Lord Jesus Christ. Love you, Sister Gladys…Judy Worthey
