Glen A. "Grandpa" Barker's Obituary
Decatur – Glen A. “Grandpa” Barker, 67, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 in his home.
Glen was born May 1, 1949 in Decatur, the son of Allan Grant and Lois Fern (Cramer) Barker. He loved to fish, was a big San Diego Charger fan and worked at Wagner Casting’s for many years retiring in 2005. Glen was a member of A.I.W. and attended Maranatha Assembly Of God Church. He married Madonna L. Kalips May 25, 1983 in Decatur.
Glen is survived by his wife, Madonna of Decatur; children: Lora Warner of Columbia, MO, Larry (Shawna) Barker of Kirksville, MO, Carrie (Eric) Merris of Decatur, Michelle (Kevin) Kirby of Mt. Zion, and Amber (fiancé Mike Mahon) Barker of Decatur; grandchildren: Kyle Michael, Trevor, Zachary, Kyle D., Henry, Andrew, Lauren, Katlyn, Kristin, Destini, Kaylee, Tyler, C.J., Alexis, and Kegan; great-grandson, Benjamin; siblings: Dorothy Barker, Carol Throgmorton, Roy Barker, Dale Barker and Linda Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents and son Brad.
Memorial services will be 11 am, Thursday, October 13, 2016 in Maranatha Assembly Of God Church; visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
