Decatur-Grace M. Heinen, 96, of Decatur, passed away at 1:05 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2009 at Mason Point in Sullivan.
Graveside services to celebrate Grace’s life will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Graceland Cemetery with Pastor Don Horath officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Grace was born July 20, 1913 in Decatur, the daughter of William and Mary (Smith) Ooton. She was employed at F.W. Means retiring with over twenty years of faithful service. She enjoyed walking at Hickory Point Mall and reading. She married Phillip Z. Heinen August 2, 1963 in Decatur. He preceded her in death March 23, 2001.
She leaves behind her children; June Cullins, Toni Rogers and husband Jack, Claude Bradshaw and wife Eva, and Larry Bradshaw and wife Aimee all of Decatur, daughter-in-law; Martha Ooton of Decatur, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, eighteen great-great-grandchildren, sister; Charlotte Downs of Decatur, brother; Carl “Tunney” Ooton of Forsyth.
She was reunited in heaven with her parents, husband, five sisters, four brothers, son; Richard Ooton, one granddaughter, and two grandsons.
