Grace Juanita Tate's Obituary
Grace Juanita Tate, 83, of Mt. Zion, passed away January 16, 2023, at Heritage Health Center of Mt. Zion.
Grace was born in Maroa, Illinois, on August 2, 1939, the daughter of John and Maxine (Cook) Larck. When she was young, she worked at Steak and Shake, where she met Donald Tate. They married on December 19, 1959 in Decatur. She later worked as a bus driver for the Decatur School District. She was a friendly, outgoing person who loved to spend time with people. She was an avid patron of thrift and antique shops.
Grace is survived by her son Donald D. (Linda) Tate, Jr.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister Judy Jackson; and brother Bud (Jackie) Larck. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Doyle Tate, Sr.; her parents; and her daughter Donna Tate.
Visitation for Grace will be held from 10am to 11am on Tuesday, January 24 at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11am in the funeral home. Burial in Graceland Cemetery will follow the service.
