Greg Stilwell's Obituary
Greg Robert Stilwell was born June 29, 1959 in Decatur, IL, the son of Jean and Ralph Stilwell. He married Kristen Hillman on May 31, 1991 in New Port Richey, FL. They were married twenty-one years.
His passions were his family and music. Greg was an accomplished musician, songwriter, and performer. As a child, Greg performed at Sullivan's Little Theater. He played guitar for forty-three years, for the first 15 years throughout the Decatur area with such bands as 'Vicious Rumour' and 'Doubletake', and after that all over the country and even around the world. When Greg moved to Florida, he played regularly with top bands at Disney World, Epcot and Church Street Station.
When Greg and his family moved to the Portland, OR area in 1996, he entered the telecommunications business, and eventually became the founder and managing partner of InnerCityFiberNet, a highly successful fiber optic telecom company in Dallas, TX.
Greg is survived by his wife Kristen, daughters Sara and Sidney, and son Steven, all of Rowlett, TX. His siblings: Diane Weinberg of Chicago, IL; Steve Stilwell of Tempe, AZ; Darla Stilwell of Phoenix, AZ; Debbie Stilwell of Springfield, IL; and Dawn Alley of St. Louis, MO. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Jean and Ralph Stilwell and his sister Donna Stilwell.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM, November 3, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Kathy King-Nobles officiating.
