I have so many fond memories of our family vacations at your house, too many to share. But one in particular sticks in my mind. Steve and I went out exploring the sewer pipes about to be installed in his old neighborhood. We came home covered in tar. To make matters better (or worse) we decided to clean up using our toothbrushes. Aunt Gwen wasn't very pleased to say the least. Thanks for all the memories! Aunt Gwen was a great lady. Know that my heart and prayers are with you.

What a sweet smile this woman had to spread to those around her! She tolerated all the Jurgens boys (this includes the fathers!) for years with that smile she spread. It is with great fondness, we remember and miss those days when the steady "team of women" worked at Jurgens and Jurgens and this one was special. She handled herself sweetly to all around her. She is remembered always.

Gwen was one of my participants in the class I taught for nine years at the YMCA. Three days a week she would be in the middle of the third row. Occasionally sneaking out to talk to her husband! She took such interest in knowing what was going on with my boys, lending an ear, a laugh and occasionally encouragement that “this too will pass”. She will be truly missed.
