Harold Willis Blunt Jr.'s Obituary
Decatur – Harold Willis 'Will' Blunt Jr., 55, of Decatur passed away at 2:10 pm on Friday, June 8, 2012 as a result of an automobile accident.
Will was born on July 13, 1956 in Decatur the son of Harold Willis and Barbara Jean (Pfieffer) Blunt Sr. He worked at Kopetz Manufacturing. He loved to go fishing and spend time with his family. He was very active in supporting the Bronco's sports teams at Cerro Gordo. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and Illini fan. He was known as a jokester and always available to help if somebody needed anything. He married Kimberly Sweeney on March 24, 1995.
Surviving are his wife Kim; mother, Barbara Jean Blunt of Edwardsville; daughters, Carey Blunt (Thomas Rogers) of Cerro Gordo; Elizabeth Stukins (David) of Cerro Gordo; Amanda Houser (Heath) of Blue Mound; Madelene Caruso of Christopher; Jessica Blunt of Decatur; son, Austin Lewis (Megan Siron) of Decatur; sister, Tammy Archer (Don) of Edwardsville; brothers, James Blunt (Linda) of Oakley; Danny Blunt (Peg) of Decatur; Doug Blunt (Laura ) of Decatur; Steve Young (Pam) of Canton; grandchildren, Camden, David, Dawson, Lacey, Kendyl, and Tegan; and his dogs, Pixie and Sarge.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Anna Shaw.
Funeral service to celebrate Will's life will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-7:00 pm Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery and conclude with the 'Flight Home' ceremony. Memorials are suggested to Homeward Bound Animal Shelter.
