Harold Fawns' Obituary
Harold Fawns, 75, of Decatur passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016 in Fair Havens Christian Home.
Harold was born April 19, 1940 in Springfield , Illinois, the son of William and Laural (Robinson) Fawns. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He later retired from Firestone, working as a fork truck operator. He bowled for the alley cats bowling team. Harold enjoyed bowling, football, and baseball. He married Patricia Stokes on August 19, 1979 in Decatur, IL. Illinois. They shared thirty-six wonderful years together.
Harold leaves behind his wife, Patricia Fawns of Decatur; sons, Harold Fawns of Springfield, IL, Delbert Fawns of Springfield, IL; daughter, Cheryl Fawns of Springfield, IL; step-daughters, Charold Triana of Decatur, Deborah Napier of Gulfport, MS; several nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many other extended family members, and his loyal and faithful canine, Shot-si.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, son, Daryle Fawns; brothers, Robert Fawns, Harlan Fawns, Norman Fawns’ Raymond Fawns; sisters, Opel Sinkus, Dorothy Davis, grandson Henry Triana Jr.
Services to celebrate Harold’s life will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2016 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, 2091 N. Oakland, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
