Harold William Hunt's Obituary
Decatur – Harold William Hunt, 66, of Decatur, passed away at 2:40 am Friday, January 30, 2009 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Services to celebrate Harold’s life will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Camp Wilson Foursquare Gospel Church with Pastor Brian Canaday officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Camp Butler Cemetery in Riverton. Memorial contributions may be sent to the family.
Harold was born November 26, 1942 in Decatur, the daughter of Elbert and Geraldine (Vail) Hunt. He married Carol A. Lasco on June 10, 1973 in Decatur. He was a graduate of Eisenhower High School. He attended Millikin University and served in the Navy as a surgical technician. Harold worked for Christy-Foltz, Ornamental Metalworks, Southern Steel Sales, Gates and Johnson, Otto Boiler and Otto Baum Construction Company. He was a member of Camp Wilson Foursquare Church in Harristown and gave his life to the Lord. Harold fought a long hard 25 year battle of heart disease and other illnesses; and found peace in his last days regarding his medical decisions.
He leaves behind his wife of 35 years: Carol, one son: Chris (Abby) Fair of Decatur, three daughters: Lisa (Sean) Roach of Kissimmee, Florida, Marla (Chris) Wolverton of Heyworth, IL, and Michelle (David) Greenwell of Latham, one brother: Richard (Debbie) Hunt of Decatur, five grandsons, one granddaughter, one granddaughter on the way, and one great-grandchild on the way.
He was reunited in heaven with his parents.
