Harold D. Karr's Obituary
Harold D. Karr, 93, of Decatur, passed away Saturday May 11, 2019, at Imboden Creek Living Center.
Harold was born April 28, 1926, in Decatur, IL to Charles and Esta (Perkins) Karr. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Doris M. Scribner on April 28, 1946 in Decatur, IL. He was a member of Heyworth Full Gospel Tabernacle. Harold was an Engine Foreman for Illinois Central Railroad for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; his two children, William “Doug” (Carol) Karr of Decatur and Carol (Michael) DeBrun of Cleveland, TN; two grandchildren, Eric (Megan Taylor) Karr and Michelle DeBrun; two step grandchildren, Bryan DeBrun and Kristina Cronin; one great-grandson, Kyle Karr; one step-great-grandson, Tyler DeBrun; and one brother, Charles (Mary) Karr of Spokane, WA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and three sisters.
Graveside services to celebrate the life of Harold Karr will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Macon County Memorial Park.
