Harold L. Leake's Obituary
Decatur-Harold L. Leake, 87, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Harold was born November 30, 1927 in Decatur the son of J. Fred and Velma (Peters) Leake. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army with the 54th Military Police Company during the Korean War. He was previously employed with Emerson’s Piano House and retired from Illinois Power. Harold was an avid golfer, Illini fan, and Cubs fan. He married Rosemary Bauer June 15, 1951.
Harold leaves behind his wife Rosemary of Decatur, sons David Leake and wife Rena of Champaign and Gary Leake and wife Lisa of Flower Mound, Texas, brothers E. Robert Leake of Decatur and William K. Leake and wife Phyllis of Punta Gorda, Florida, and grandchildren Miranda, Daniel, Jared, and Ryan Leake
Harold was preceded in death by his parents and brother Clayton Eugene Leake
Honoring Harold’s wishes cremation services will be provided by Graceland/Fairlawn Cremation Center. No services are planned at this time. Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church.
