Harriett Kiick's Obituary
Decatur-Harriett Kiick, 94, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Imboden Creek Living Center with her family by her side.
Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Harriett's life will be 9:30 a.m. Monday, January 23, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2400 S. Franklin St. Decatur, with Father Joe Molloy, Celebrant. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Interment with 'Flight Home' Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Harriett was born September 24, 1917, in Chicago, the daughter of Michael and Rose Skiermanski. She was a secretary at a law firm in Chicago and was a part- time secretary for Easter Seals. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and St. Mary's Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, Tai Chi, golfing, and swimming. She married Charles Harmon Kiick February 18, 1950 in Chicago.
She leaves behind her daughters Ginny Kiick of Maui, HI, Tina Kiick of Peoria, IL, and Charlene Kiick of Dallas, TX, brother Henry Skiermanski of Chetek, WI, and grandson Jason Kiick of Peoria, IL.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents, husband, one brother, and one sister.
