Hazel Irene Huddleston's Obituary
Decatur-Hazel I. Huddleston, 89, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013.
She was born October 20, 1923, in Taylorville, IL to Benjamin G. and Viva E. (Blakey) Harrison, where she married Lawrence C. Huddleston March 17, 1940. Since 1942, they made their home in Decatur, where she was active in their church and their children's activities. She later spent several years as a volunteer with the Decatur Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Mrs. Huddleston is survived by a son, Lawrence C. Huddleston, Jr. (wife, Judith), Madison Hts, MI; a daughter, Sandra L. Pyles, Peoria, AZ; brother, Richard D. Harrison, Decatur, IL: thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughters; Wanda M. Monkress and Anita K. Ellis; two grandchildren; parents; five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
