Hazel Walker's Obituary
Hazel Walker, 87, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017 in Decatur Rehab.
Hazel was born May 11, 1929, in North Carolina to Charlie and Margaret Walker. She married Ronald Walker in November 1959 in Evansville, IN. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Betty Boop who also loved to sing and play bingo.
Surviving are her daughters, Genny (Kevin) Jones of Latham, IL and Julie Underwood of Decatur, IL; sister, Nancy Smith of Stuart, VA; grandchildren Heather (Anthony) Miller of Bethany, IL, Gary (Michelle) Underwood of Glendale, AZ, Jesse Jones of Latham, IL and Kristina Underwood of Decatur, IL; three great-grandchildren, Kyler Culter of Greenville, FL, Kadan Miller of Bethany, IL and Aden Underwood of Glendale, AZ.
Hazel was preceded in death by her spouse Ronald and son Thad Walker.
Graveside services to celebrate Hazel’s life will be 1:00 PM on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 AM-1 PM prior to the services in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
