Helen S. Craig's Obituary
Decatur – Helen S. Craig, 97, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Helen was born in September 8, 1920, in Mason City, IA, the daughter of William and Mary (McGee) Nugent. She married Robert D. “Bob” Craig, January 24, 1948, in Decatur. Helen worked as a bookkeeper/administrative assistant for Citizens Bank and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Surviving is her husband, Bob of Decatur; daughters: Karen (Jim) Corrigan of Western Springs, Kathy (Terry) Gainer and Carol Ekiss of Decatur; grandchildren: Colleen (Bill) Hiles, Jim Corrigan, Jr., Mike (Kristen) Corrigan, Shawn Gainer, Nick (Kate) Quealy-Gainer, Brian Ekiss and Craig Ekiss; great grandchildren: Ella, Ben and Luke Hiles, and Grace, Aubri Gainer and Henry and Felix Quealy-Gainer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; son Kevin; three sisters and four brothers.
Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Helen’s life will be 2 PM, Monday, October 9, 2017, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church; visitation will be one hour before in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
