Helen Gadberry's Obituary
Mt. Zion-Helen D. Gadberry, 92, of Mt. Zion, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014 in Heritage Manor.
Helen was born September 21, 1921 in Somerset, Kentucky, the daughter of Neal and Lou Dawes. She married Willard Gadberry January 20, 1936. He preceded her in death November 14, 2001. They shared over sixty-four years of marriage.
Helen was a devoted, longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church where she served for many years as a Sunday school teacher. She was also active for many years singing with a gospel quartet.
She leaves behind her sons Jack Gadberry of Mt. Zion and Roger (Brenda) Gadberry of Decatur, grandsons Sean, Steve, Craig, David, and Justin Gadberry, seven great-grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents, husband, and sister Dorothy.
Private graveside services to celebrate Helen’s life will be held.
