Helen Sue Krohn's Obituary
Decatur-Helen Sue Krohn, 71, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013 with her family by her side.
She was born September 11, 1941 in Rutledge, Tennessee, the daughter of Howard Tate and Golden Wave (Olinger) Bailey. She was previously employed Levi-Strauss in Tennessee and GE in Decatur. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and the Soy City Breakers handle “Lady Goldfinger”. She married Guy Richard Krohn. He preceded her in death December 8, 2008.
She leaves behind her daughter Stephanie Krohn, son Mark Krohn, grandchildren Dailey and Ashley, great-grandson Brent Jr., brother Howard (Marie) Bailey and Bob Bailey, and sister Betty Williams.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents, husband, and sisters Kathleen Fennell and Ann Wice.
Services to celebrate Helen’s life will be 11 a.m. Thursday, September 12, 2013 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial with “Flight Home” Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery.
