Helene L. Mounts' Obituary
Helene L. Mounts, 95, of Decatur, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2020 at Fair Havens Senior Living. Helene was born in Decatur on April 12, 1924 to Orvil and Savina (McCray) Laughery. She married Raymond F. Mounts on November 27, 1946, he preceded her in death on April 23, 2010. She is survived by her daughter: Rebecca Rusk of Decatur; her brother: Donald (Margaret) Laughery of Decatur; two grandchildren: Jeffrey (Samantha) Rusk and Laura (Josh) Mahon; and two great grandchildren: Kennedy and Rien. She was preceded in death by her parents, son: Michael Mounts and son in law Michael Rusk. Helene was a member of the First Baptist Church, she enjoyed reading James Patterson books and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Private family services will be held at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name are suggested to the First Baptist Church.
