Henrietta May Reeter's Obituary
Decatur-Henrietta May Reeter, 87, of Decatur passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 in St. Mary’s Hospital.
Henrietta was born February 10, 1930 in Vandalia, Illinois, the daughter of Harold and Lena (Schempf) Paradee. She retired from G.E. and was a self-employed beautician for over fifty years. Henrietta was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her family, gardening, and reading.
Henrietta leaves behind her children Lee (Pat) Stoneburnner, Gail Evans, Linda (David) McCausland, and Wayne Reeter, brothers Bill and Mike Paradee, sisters Alice Rhoades, Rosaline Huber, and Eileen Beck, twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Charles, Earnest, Dale, and Wayne Paradee, sisters Elizabeth Pemberton and Lavonne Beck, son-in-law Jerry Evans, and one grandchild.
The family will host a memorial gathering 10:00 AM Monday, May 15, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, 201 W. North St. Decatur. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family in care of Gail Evans.
