Henry Otto Petrowsky's Obituary
Decatur-Henry Otto 'Bud' Petrowsky, 82, of Decatur, passed away at 11:50 p.m. Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Lincoln Manor.
Services to celebrate Bud's life will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment with 'Flight Home' Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Lincoln Manor. Bud was born September 8, 1928, in Decatur, the son of Henry and Catherine (Gunter) Petrowsky. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during W.W. II. and the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Norfolk & Southern Railroad after forty-four years of service. He married Patsy Ann Chaney in 1950. She preceded him in death June 6, 1988.
He leaves behind his son; Michael Petrowsky and wife Robin of Decatur, daughters; Karen Ross and husband Tom of Frisco, Texas and Patricia Korrandos and husband Chuck of Decatur, daughter in law; Martha Petrowsky of Decatur, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was reunited in Heaven with his parents, step-father Pat Fogerty, son; David, daughter; Catherine, brother; Karl, and sisters; Dorothy Bledsaw and Louise Alcorn.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Lincoln Manor for all of their loving care.
