Decatur- Herbert Feezel, 89, of Decatur Passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Decatur Memorial Hospital Emergency Room with his family at his bedside.
A Graveside Service to celebrate Herbert’s life will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Graceland Cemetery with military honors conducted by the USAF and the 'Flight Home' Ceremony to conclude the service. Memorial contributions may be made to “Honor Flight” veteran’s transportation. Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Herbert was born January 19, 1921 in St. Elmo IL, the son of Edna Bagley. Herbert proudly served his country in the Army Air Corp in WWII and was a member of the V.F.W. Herbert loved to build and fly model air planes and received many awards for doing so. He married Hazel Henderson March 6, 1948.
Herbert leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years and son; Leonard Feezel, daughters; Marlene Brotherton and husband Ward of Sullivan, Brenda Roland and husband John of Decatur and Karen Johnson of Decatur, grandchildren; Phillip Roland and Brian Roland and great-grandchildren; Zachary, Mason, Jaxson and Logan.
Herbert was greeted into Heaven by his parents and grandparents
