Homer Lee Van Fleet's Obituary
Decatur – Homer Lee Van Fleet, Sr., 78, of Decatur, passed away at 7:30 pm Sunday, October 18, 2009 at McKinley Court.
Per his wishes cremation rites will be accorded. Burial will be in Fairfield, Illinois at a later date. Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with these arrangements. Online condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.gracelandfairlawn.com.
Homer was born November 24, 1930 in Fairfield, Illinois the son of Orville and Mary (Harl) Van Fleet. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was the owner/operator of Van Fleet Television. He was a member of the Eagles Club.
He leaves behind his daughter; Cheryl Butler of Garden City, Georgia, sister; Dorothy Fisher, brothers; Jack, Tom, Bob, and Kenneth Lewis, four grandchildren, and two great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
