Howard L. Tadlock's Obituary
Decatur-Howard L. 'Whitey' Tadlock, Jr., 89, of Decatur, passed away at 4:10 a.m. Sunday, October 21, 2012 in his home with his family by his side.
Graveside services to celebrate Howard's life will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2012 in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2012 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
Howard was born December 9, 1922, in Odin, the son of Howard L. and Adeline (Conley) Tadlock, Sr. He proudly served his country in the USMC in World War II. He was previously employed as a carman with Wabash, Norfolk & Southern, Norfolk & Western, and IL Terminal Rail Roads. He enjoyed golfing and building and remodeling houses. He married Edith Glover December 12, 1941.
He leaves behind his wife Edith, daughters Mary J. Klingelschmitt and husband Frank of Decatur and Susan L. Dean of Decatur, seventeen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son James L. Tadlock, three brothers, and two sisters.
