Ilene Wiggins' Obituary
Decatur-Ilene Wiggins, 74, of Decatur, passed away at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at her home.
Services to celebrate Ilene's life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2010 at the funeral home. Interment with 'Flight Home' Ceremony will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. Ilene was born August 3, 1936 in Tower Hill, the daughter of Harve Wesley and Virginia Ilene (Carr) Holbert. She was a member of the Class of 1954 Luncheon Group and enjoyed shopping. Ilene was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She married Daniel Wiggins May 15, 1982. He preceded her in death May 18, 2010.
She leaves behind her son; James Wiggins and wife Lindsey of Kingsport, Tennessee, daughter; Michelle Merklinger and husband Will of Cocoa, Florida, sisters; June Marshall and husband Ray of Decatur and Julie Blitch and husband Barry of Titusville, Florida, brother; Hanley Holbert and wife Mary of Satsuma, Florida, sister-in-law; Sandra Wright and husband Lynn of Decatur, and grandchildren; Stormie, Haelee, Drake, Brock, Dominic, Tadd, and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandson; Bryce.
