Imogene Preston Rybolt's Obituary
Decatur-Imogene Preston Rybolt, 85, of Sullivan, formerly of Kenney, passed away at 9:25 a.m. Thursday, July 07, 2011 at Eastview Terrace with her family by her side.
Services to celebrate Imogene's life will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2011 at Kenney Christian Church, 213 West Benjaman Street Kenney, IL. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services. Private family burial will be held at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Imogene was born September 10, 1925 in Allenville, Illinois, the daughter of Cecil Pendleton and Mary Elizabeth (Kingery) Preston. In her younger years she managed the Steak N Shake in downtown Decatur. She then became a farmer's wife. She enjoyed flowers and gardening. She married Gary Blaine Rybolt in October of 1954. He preceded her in death in October of 2006.
She leaves behind her nieces, Donna Preston, Elaine Rice and husband Gary, and Carol Preston all of Lovington, great-nephews, Barry W. Rice and wife Kelly, Christopher Rice and wife Kristin, and Adam Rice and wife Erin, three great-great-nephews, two great-great-nieces, and one on the way.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents, husband, son, Gary Blaine Rybolt, Jr., three brothers, and two sisters.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Manor Court in Clinton, Aspen Creek in Sullivan, and Eastview Terrace in Sullivan for all of their loving compassionate care.
